At a day and age where skateboard videos come and go as fast as Usain Bolt and where any skatepark clip is good enough to be shared with the world, it’s refreshing to see that there are still people out there who put time and effort into making real skate vids. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Police Boys Club, Brian Shannon's latest video, starring Empire team riders Johnny Purcell, Zander Mitchell and many more.

Come party with us at Don B. Comber next Friday May 11th for the world premiere of Brian’s video. Meanwhile, check out what the stars of Police Boys Club have to say about their next big project.

How long you’ve been filming for PBC?

Two years and a half, but it was pretty leisurely until last fall/this spring.

Who’s got the best clip in the vid?

Come to Dom B. Comber on Friday to see it.

And the gnarliest?

You decide after you see the video Friday!

What are you stoked on the most overall?

Not having to film or edit for the next 2 weeks. I’m taking some time off. haha!

Funniest moment from the PBC sessions?

Either getting called animals by this rich old lady or Jake board guarding with a banana in one hand and a muffin in the other chasing Johnny’s board through traffic and almost getting hit by a car. It’s a tie.

Craziest moment?

Filming Johnny’s last trick. I think I was more stressed then he was. He knew how stressed I was even after he landed it he let me smoke in his car. He made it a one time thing.

Best memory from the PBC sessions?

I think the best thing about the vid is the fact that Zander and Johnny only skated together twice together while we were out filming. I would always do a few days with Johnny then a few days with Zander. They only skated two of the same spots in the video and they used them completely different ways. I think this is the best because it wasn’t like some Transworld video bonding stuff. We just did our thing. They haven’t even seen each others parts so it’s cool. I think they’re friends though.

Johnny Purcell

How long you’ve been filming for PBC?

It’s been about 2 years. I moved to Paris for 5 months this year so during that time it wasn’t my main focus. There’s a couple Paris clips in there for sure tho.

Who’s got the best clip in the vid?

Zander. People aren’t ready for his shit.

And the gnarliest?

I haven’t seen everything, hopefully have a nice surprise at the premiere.

What are you stoked on the most overall?

To have worked on a project and have a premiere for it. I’ve never really had that before and I feel that really represents the process of what filming and skating use to be.

Funniest moment from the PBC sessions?

Any time when Kyle was on the session is usually pretty funny. We were skating in March to get some last minute clips and he was skating in a tshirt at 0 degrees. That made us all laugh

Craziest moment?

Maybe just seeing how mad this one old women got at a spot downtown. She was literally wishing death upon us all.

Best memory from the PBC sessions?

Last day I went skating for the video it was just me and Brian. The day started pretty sour but turned around. Ended up being my first ever Muska day. Thanks for sticking it out beesh :-).

Zander Mitchell

Who’s got the best clip in the vid?

Johnny

What are you stoked on the most overall?

The Skating?!?

Funniest moment from the video?

Going to morocco for 2 weeks and getting no clips.

Craziest moment?

Landing my ender first try.
