GRILAMID FRAME

It is a high tensile strength plastic that will retain its shape under all temperatures. This material is impact resistant, flexible, light weight, and durable. Electric uses grilamid in all of its mold injected eyewear.

ACETATE FRAME

Also known as Cellulose Acetate, is a nylon based plastic that is hypo allergenic, and has more transparency and gloss than any other plastic. Acetate produces some of the most aesthetically pleasing eyewear, which is ideal for custom fitting and pliable when heated. Electric exclusively uses Mazzucchelli acetate for all of our handmade Italian acetate frames.

WIRE FRAME

Each of Electric's wire frames utilize a high quality surgical grade stainless steel. This material is non corrosive, hypo allergenic, lightweight and durable.

MELANIN POLYCARBONATE LENS

Electric exclusively uses Bayer brand Makrolon raw polycarbonate material. All of our melanin infused polycarbonate lenses are infused with health preserving melanin. This premium polycarbonate material is extremely light weight, has excellent visual clarity and definition, provides 100% UV and 98% Blue light protection and boasts superior impact resistance.

MELANIN CR39 LENS

Electric is proud to offer melanin infused CR-39 lenses. An industry first that we have developed, exclusively with our lens supplier. CR-39 monomer lenses combine the optical clarity of glass with the durability of a thermoset material. CR-39 lenses stand up to scratches, are light weight and are featured in all of our acetate frames and select wire frames.

HAND POLISHED MINERAL GLASS

Electric's glass lenses offer superior optical clarity, are the most scratch-resistant and have been manufactured as light weight as possible. These lenses are under 2mm thick and have been treated for increased impact resistant. These lenses are featured in all of our Level III Polarized frames.
