Inspired by Converse’s basketball heritage and incorporating elements from skateboarding, this shoe came from the mind of Sablone from A to Z. From the moment she showed up to an early design meeting with a full-sized papier maché mock up of the shoe, the team at Converse knew they were in for a treat.

This partnership showcases Sablone's influence as a skateboarder, but also as a visionary and an artist and serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and the ability to break barriers. A PIONEER IN THE SKATE INDUSTRY

Alexis Sablone popped into our lives in the early 2000s, in the legendary “PJ Ladd’s Wonderful Horrible Life” video. When she dropped that part, including massive flip tricks down gaps, the world instantly knew that she had a bright future in front of her. Known for her smooth execution and impeccable control, she effortlessly pushed the boundaries of what is possible on a skateboard.

In 2006, Sablone made a significant breakthrough in her career by winning the gold medal at the X Games in the Women's Street competition. This victory cemented her status as a force to be reckoned with in the skateboarding community. Sablone's consistent success in various competitions, including the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) events and even the Olympics, further solidified her reputation as one of the most influential skaters of her generation.

Made with some of the most durable materials on the market, griptape abrasion ain't got nothing on these babies. Constructed with high-quality materials and reinforced toecap, they were engineered by Sablone to withstand her insane flick over and over without ripping. From griptape abrasion to heavy impacts, these shoes have proven to be incredibly resilient.

To add to the AS-1 Pro explosive cocktail of grip, boardfeel and impact protection, the shoes also features herringbone outsoles that were engineered with Sablone’s feedback to enhance grip between the board and the shoe. The CX foam sock liners act as an added impact protection layer while the rubber lateral sidewall helps with grip and durability.
