Where are you from, how old are you and how did you get into snowboarding? I am from Moorpark California. I went snowboarding maybe 2 or 3 times as a young kid and then I revisited it when I was about 18 All of your past interviews have one thing in common: they all mention how fast you progressed on the board. How long did it take before you got approached by a sponsor? When I first moved to Salt Lake back in 2014, Chelsea Waddell asked if I would be interested in helping out at The Four Horsemen Showroom. I got the chance to work with Josh Fisher and team. They did representation for Burton (and more) at the time. Through helping out there, I joined forces with Burton Girls and quickly realized that it was not for me. In 2016 I Reached out to Ride Snowboards and I have been there ever since. I love Ride Snowboards

What’s your favourite Ride setup and Why? Oh they’re all amazing. Currently I Ride the Zero and the C-9 bindings. Both unisex. Followed by the benchwarmer and the berzerker.

You currently live in Salt Lake City, but are from California. Why did you choose to move to Salt Lake instead of riding Tahoe or other mountains in California? When I first started loving snowboarding I almost moved to Mammoth Lakes CA. That quickly changed as I realized I wanted to leave California after a summer on Mt Hood. Again, Chelsea Waddell helped me in my decision. After meeting her at High Cascade Snowboard Camp in 2014, I was deciding between Colorado and Salt Lake. After talking with her I realized that SLC was it. I love the community, the access, the life outside of snowboarding and much more. It’s a great place. Have you ever come to Montreal to film street? Unfortunately, No. It has always been a dream of mine. I spent one day there in between trips and fell in love with it. I will be there soon

You also skateboard a lot. What made you choose snowboarding over skateboarding as a career? Yeah. I grew up skateboarding at a young age and kind of quit all board sports at the age of 11?? Then when I was a senior in high school some buddies of mine were going snowboarding, so I decided to join. At that moment, I realized that I loved it. I became obsessed with it actually. Once I got in to snowboarding, I picked skateboarding back up. Haven’t looked back since. You were in a Justin Bieber music video. How did this come around? Oh we are digging deep. I got this opportunity through snowboarding actually. Once of my friends who I would ride with at Mountain High (where I learned to snowboard) hit me up and asked if I wanted in. I said yes haha. There was no food until hour 7. The food was mini slices of pizza. Like so small I wouldn’t even consider it food. Was it worth it?

Are you working on a video part at the moment? I am currently working on branded content and filming as much as I can. I am also redesigning the way I approach snowboarding in hopes of inspiring the younger generation to hopefully not take it as seriously and hold on to the feeling of why we all love to snowboard. What’s your biggest accomplishment in 2021? Hmmm 2021 was really exciting for me. I got the cover of SLUSH, had the honor of winning video part of the year for SLUSH Mag and also rider of the year for both SLUSH Mag and Torment Mag. I also bought a house and got to move in with my best friend, Katie Kennedy. Who if you don’t know you should get to know. Big year.
