After a two years hiatus, the Jackalope Fest is back in 2022 and will be bigger and better than ever! We have been joining forces with Jackalope since 2017 and we’re proud to say we still do 5 years later, as the iconic Action Sports festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Come to Montreal's Esplanade Financière at the Olympic Stadium from August 19th to 21st to enjoy one the biggest action sports festival in North America. A weekend filled with thrills, activities of all kinds, action sports and fun!

The Jackalope Festival is the event that’s featuring the most action sports in one weekend in Canada. Period. This year won’t be any different and obviously won’t disappoint. Whether you come for the activations of all kinds, for the food trucks, for the skateboarding, the bouldering, BMX, motocross demonstrations, musical performances or to check out the world-class competitions taking place as part of the festival, you will have a great time, guaranteed!
Some of the biggest names in skateboarding, a vert ramp demo, a state of the art course for the skateboarding World Cup, all types of other action sports like base jumping, BMX, Motocross and more.
We’re also thrilled to announce that, as a World Skate sanctioned event that will count in the scoring to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Jackalope Fest skateboarding finals will be streaming live for the first time ever on Jackalope’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
SKATEBOARDING AT JACKALOPE
Vert Demo with Elliott Sloan and friends
Although all the sports presented at Jackalope are interesting and entertaining to watch, skateboarding is what interests us the most, of course. With none other than the last X-Games Gold medalist Elliott Sloan, Jimmy Wilkins, Reece Nelson, Mitchie Brusco and more on the Vert Ramp, this will certainly be breathtaking. You won't have enough of your two eyes to see it all. Matter of fact, it's worth attending the festival just for that vert ramp demo.
The Vert Ramp will also be open to skate for those who dare to drop in. Just sign the waiver, get padded up and you’ll be riding Vert in no time! On our end, we will be enjoying a few cold drinks while watching the show!
World Cup Skateboarding Contest
Skateboarding is the star at Jackalope! In addition to the demo from Elliott Sloan and his crew, the festival hosts the one of the only Skateboarding World Cup stop on Canadian soil. Jackalope will be the opportunity to see our Men and Women Canadian athletes perform, gather points for the Olympics and maybe even end up on the national team.
The skateboarding contest will be divided in three categories: Pro Men, Pro Women and 13 and under. The World Skate sanctioned Pro Men and Women categories will be sharing a $30k total cash purse (15k men / 15k Women) that will be separated between the top 10 positions of each category.
The competition will be fierce as some of the biggest names in skateboarding will be on site to battle for a chance to go home with World Cup points and cold hard cash. We’re talking Ivan Monteiro, Andy Anderson, Annie Guglia, Gavin Bottger, Kechaud Johnson and more. This will be one hell of a show!
The Empire And Swatch Best Tricks
To kick off the weekend on the right note, don't forget to show up on Friday, August 19, from 5 pm to check out the Empire and Swatch skateboard Best Trick Contests. Not one, not two, but three different best tricks to spice up your Friday night.
We’re proud to be the official sponsor of the first part of the best trick contest and are happy to let you know that we will have $5000 cash in $20 to give away for the best maneuvers. Trust us, the most impressive skating always happens during the Best Trick contest and with that cash prize, we guarantee you will see a lot of insane tricks.
Right after the Empire Best trick, Swatch will be presenting the Open and the Full Moon Best Trick contests. The Open contest will be welcoming anyone who feel like they got what it takes to get a piece of the $1000 cash prize. The Open will be immediately followed by the Full Moon Best Trick. A night time contest with full moon party inspired lights and atmosphere. With another $2000 to give away for the best skateboarding maneuvers, expect the madness to go on until the very end of the day!

BOULDERING | In urban settings, bouldering’s popularity is on the rise. JACKALOPE is the #1 event if you want to see how the pros do it and try it out yourself.
BREAK DANCING | with the CD8 National championship of breaking, prepare to see some of the best b boys and girls you’ve ever seen in action.
BMX /FMX/ BASE JUMPING | Witnessing some of the greatest BMX, FMX and base jumping stunts ever performed right here in Montreal is a rare sight, but not at Jackalope Fest!
MUSIC PERFORMANCES | Crank up the heat with performances from major artists such as Tizzo, Naya Ali et Grosbig!
