While the Matchcourt has played an important role in tennis since the early 80s, the brand with the three stripes has revived this iconic silhouette by transforming it into a skateboard shoe, including a new reactive fit and a Mid Top construction. Last but not least, the Matchcourt Mid Marc Johnson signature colorway is equipped with a cushioned PU sockliner protecting skaters against impacts.

The shoe includes an unparalleled level of control and durability, thanks to its vulcanized rubber sole and rubber toe cap. The new Marc Johnson signature colorway from Adidas, with its Pantone 542 colored upper, will also give you style and flavor at all times. On your board or on your feet.

Interesting fact : The color on Marc Johnson's latest Adidas signature shoe pays tribute to the University of North Carolina. That said, do not think the golden « MJ » initials that are visible on the side panel of the shoe stand for a certain known basketball player. History of the Matchcourt

The Matchcourt is an evolution of the Zizza, an original Adidas tennis shoe from the 80s with a rubber toe cap. Now updated to resist the abuse skaters put their shoes through, this iconic Adidas model represents a shoe that several skaters adopted when it was released more than three decades ago. For its flat profile, its rubber toe cap and vulcanised sole or simply for its style, the Matchcourt was adopted by skateboarders even before it officially became a skate shoe. Now redesigned for this particular sport, it's no surprise that a skater as legendary as Marc Johnson chose this one for his signature colorway.
