Our favorite snowboarding contest is coming back this Winter after a 2 years hiatus. This year, we bring you back to the roots of snowboarding and reunite with fellow Quebec boarders during the classic event we all know and love, but with new twists!

Presented by Monster Energy and in collaboration with Burton, Oakley and Volcom, the Empire Games are back in 2023! If you have participated in the past, you know how fun these contests are. We have around 10k in cash to give away in total, but at the Games, everybody's a winner as fun with friends on incredible courses is the real prize.

Like previous Empire Games, the competition will stop in 2 resorts in 2023. Starting the season with its classic first stop in Stoneham, QC on January 28th. The 2023 Empire Games will also travel up North for its second edition. That’s right, we will be hitting Mont Blanc for the first time in the history of the Games on March 18th 2023.

ON THE MENU AT THE 2023 EMPIRE GAMES

For those who are not familiar with the Empire Games race yet, here's how it works: three categories: Open, women and 15 and under, racing on what’s going to be two of the best banked slalom courses ever built. $4000 total in cash and tons of prizes to give away.

The Stoneham stop will be a bit different from our usual "one on one" formula as it will be a timed solo run. With only one banked slalom to build, our friends at Today’s parks are about to bring you a course unlike anything you’ve seen before.

The Mont-Blanc stop of the Empire Games will feature our classic one on one race and elimination formula. With only two competitors left at the end, the first to cross the finish line will then be named winner of the Empire Games Mont Blanc.

As the tradition goes, both Empire Games 2023 events will be featuring an invitational rail jam to close the event. We're proud to announce that this year, we will be donating the obstacle on which the rail jam will take place to the hosting resort, hence the name "legacy rail jam".

As per usual, the snowpark scientists and our good friends at Todays Park will go above and beyond to bring us totally unreal courses and obstacles for the Empire Games. We can't say too much about the course for the moment, but stay tuned for Today's Parks course reveal coming soon.

You know we're known for throwing great parties. This one will be one for the books as the local snowboard scene reunites after 2 years of not seeing each other. With our invited DJs bumping good sounds, good friends and drinks, crazy nights are to be expected at the Empire Games 2023 after-parties.

IMPORTANT DATES

January 28th – Stoneham

To kick off this season, the first Empire Games event will take place in Stoneham, in the beautiful region of Quebec, on February 28th. From the contest to the after party, the Quebec people know how to get things popping and we’re beyond stoked to kick off our Empire Games season at that iconic resort.

For the second and last Empire Games event of the season, we decided to spice things up a little bit and hit Mont-Blanc on the North Shore of Montreal. New Mountain, same formula, you really don't want to miss this. 

THE SUPER DEMO

That's not all! In addition to our unique competition featuring exciting courses and innovative concepts, we're also proud to present the return of our Empire Super-Demos, which will be held on the same days as the Empire Games competitions, February 28th and March 18th at both Stoneham and Mont Blanc mountains.

The best snowboard brands in the business will be waiting for you with booths at the bottom of the slopes from 9am to 5pm. Experimented advisers will be on the spot to demonstrate what's coming next year. The best part about the Super Demo is to try upcoming snowboard products for free. On top of that, activations, games, product tosses and fun guaranteed. Check out the list of brands that will be on site this year and come try out their 2024 products.
