UPGRADED DURABILITY
The new Skate Classics shoes from Vans are the same Classics we already know and love, but with revised functionalities. The Old Skool, the Slip-On, the Sk8-Hi, the Era, the Authentic, the Half Cab, the Skate Sid, the Skate Sports and all the best Vans Classics, with next level durability.
First, the shoes feature Vans tested and approved DURACAP underlays, which are rubber under layers in high abrasion areas. For the Skate Classics, Vans came up with new Duracap underlays shapes, adding flexibility and removing excess bulk to eliminate hot spots. These new Duracap underlays give the shoes maximum durability where they need it most all while keeping your feet comfortable.
Still on the durability level, the shoe also features a foxing tape with heavier knurl texture on toe bumpers and higher sidewalls height as well as Sick Stick outsole, a new and revolutionary Vans gum rubber compound with deeper thread depth that increases the overall longevity of the shoe without losing any boardfeel.
UPGRADED COMFORT
Other than having a shoe that lasts longer than any other skate shoes, Vans top Athletes asked for upgraded comfort and control. The brand took it seriously and introduced new uppers that incorporate upgraded functionalities like an internal heel stiffener for better heel fit and stability as well as a molded heel counter and locked-in tongue straps and premium heel hold to keep your feet locked in and enjoy a high level of control on your skateboard.
The Vans Skate Classics also include Vans best-in-class PopCush energy-return footbeds.
