The 686 Frontier Insulated Bib is a full-coverage snowboard bib built for young riders hitting the mountain in colder conditions. Designed for kids aged 7 to 14, it blends technical protection with an easygoing classic fit — enough room to move freely without feeling buried in fabric.
Built on a 2-layer recycled polyester shell rated at 10,000mm waterproofing and treated with a PFAS-free DWR finish, the Frontier keeps the wet out without relying on harmful chemicals. Inside, 80g of infiLOFT® insulation traps warmth while staying lightweight — so kids stay comfortable without feeling weighed down. Critically taped Bemis® seams close off any remaining entry points for moisture, and a reinforced 500D kick panel protects the hem where abuse is heaviest. Four pockets, a key clip, a lift ticket eyelet, and a boot gaiter round out a well-thought-out feature set.
This bib suits growing riders who need dependable warmth on cold bluebird days or during heavier snowfall. The Youth Evolution™ leg sizing system lets parents buy with room to grow — the legs extend a full size, making it a smart investment over more than one season. It's a solid everyday bib for kids who spend real time on the hill.
