Description

The Arc'teryx Cerium 2027 is a premium insulating mid-layer built for skiers, splitboarders, and alpine climbers who move fast and need warmth they can trust. Equally at home as a standalone piece or tucked under a shell, it's designed for high-output days where every gram and every cubic inch of pack space matters.

At its core, 850-fill RDS-certified European white goose down delivers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, while Coreloft™ synthetic insulation is placed in moisture-prone zones through Down Composite Mapping™ so performance doesn't drop when conditions do. The recycled 15D Arato™ nylon shell is treated with an FC0-DWR finish for moisture repellency, and the 20D plant-based Arato™ liner keeps the whole package remarkably light. A trim, articulated cut moves with you, and an insulated mid-height collar, adjustable hem draw cord, and stretchy cuffs lock out drafts without restricting movement. Two hand pockets, an internal security pocket, and an included stuff sack round out a clean, streamlined design.

Who it's for

This jacket is built for the skier or mountain athlete who refuses to choose between warmth and mobility. If your day involves skinning, boot-packing, or riding steep lines in variable weather, the Cerium is the layer you'll reach for without thinking. It also compresses small enough to disappear into a pack when the sun comes out.

FAQ

  • Can I wear this as my only layer on the chairlift? Absolutely — the insulated collar and wind-resistant shell make it a capable standalone piece in cool to cold conditions, especially on lower-output lift laps.
  • Is the down treated to handle wet snow? The down itself benefits from the jacket's FC0-DWR outer treatment and moisture-resistant face fabric, and Coreloft™ synthetic backs it up in areas most exposed to moisture, so warmth is maintained even in damp conditions.
