The Burton [ak] Hover GORE-TEX C-Knit Stretch is a minimalist 3-layer shell built for riders who move between resort laps and backcountry touring without wanting to carry two jackets. Its ultralight construction packs down small enough to stow in your bag on the skin track, yet delivers full storm coverage when the weather turns.

At its core is a GORE-TEX 3L C-Knit construction — a three-layer nylon 30D plain weave that trades some of the stiffness of conventional GORE-TEX 3L for a noticeably softer, stretchier hand feel, while keeping the same waterproof, windproof, and breathable performance. Fully taped seams, YKK water-resistant zippers, and a PFAS-free DWR treatment lock out the elements, while a Stretch Zip-Out Powder Skirt with jacket-to-pant snaps seals the hem in deep snow. A StormForm hood with embedded cinch, pit zip vents, articulated patterning, and a no-lift underarm gusset round out the mobility-first design. Storage includes chest, hand-warmer, bicep pass, and internal mesh dump pockets.
