The K2 Afterblack is a true-twin park snowboard engineered for intermediate to expert riders who live for rails, jumps, and street-style features. Built with serious durability in mind, it delivers the classic freestyle feel that dedicated park riders demand — updated with modern shaping and construction for today's riding.

The Afterblack rides on a Combination Camber Profile — camber between the bindings for pop and edge hold, rocker toward the tip and tail for forgiveness and buttering. Its true-twin shape keeps things symmetrical switch or regular. The mid-flex rating and tri-blend BAP Core (bamboo, aspen, and paulownia) deliver lively snap and rebound without beating up your body on heavy landings. Tip-to-tail triaxially woven fiberglass paired with Carbon Darkweb™ adds torsional stability and edge control when you need to hold a line into a feature or pop off a lip. Flex rating: 5/10.

Who It's For

The Afterblack is dialed in for intermediate to expert park riders who want a board that can handle both polished resort features and raw street spots. If you're the kind of rider who spends more time scoping lines than groomer laps, this board was built with your input in mind — literally, shaped with feedback from team rider Mark Wilson. It rewards technical riding while staying approachable enough to progress on.

FAQ

  • Is the K2 Afterblack good for all-mountain riding? It's designed specifically for freestyle and park terrain. While the combination camber gives it decent edge hold, it shines on features, rails, and side hits rather than all-mountain carving.
  • Can beginners ride the Afterblack? The Afterblack is rated for intermediate to expert riders. Beginners may find the flex and profile more challenging to control before developing foundational skills.
