The K2 Passport is a directional freeride board engineered for riders ready to push beyond groomed runs and into open mountain terrain. Designed for intermediate to expert ability levels and cut in a unisex shape, it thrives in fresh snow, off-piste lines, and anywhere the map runs out.
The Passport runs a tapered directional shape with a slightly wider-than-average waist and 8 mm of taper that promote float in deep snow and effortless edge initiation. Its combination camber profile features an elongated rocker zone through the tip for rise in powder, while a tighter sidecut radius at the tip and tail delivers quick turn engagement and a longer radius underfoot keeps the arc smooth and predictable. The A1 Core — a sustainably harvested blend of aspen, bamboo, and paulownia — keeps the board light and lively, and the ICG 10 Triax fiberglass with integrated carbon stringers adds tip-to-tail snap without stiffening the ride. Hybritech construction trims swing weight in the tip and tail, and the Sintered 4000 base lays down fast, durable glide on any snow surface. Inserts are set up in a 2 x 4 pattern. Flex rating: 6/10.
If you're an intermediate rider growing into technical terrain or an expert who wants a versatile one-board quiver for powder days, the Passport is worth a serious look. The wider waist and taper make it forgiving in deep snow, while the carbon-reinforced glass and snappy core keep it precise when you need it. It's also switch and fakie-friendly, so freestyle-leaning freeriders won't feel boxed in.
