The Golden Orca is LibTech's most versatile all-mountain freestyle snowboard, built for riders who want one board to handle deep powder, groomed hardpack carves, and switch freestyle riding with equal confidence. Shaped around Travis Rice's Natural Selection competition experience, it bridges backcountry float and resort performance without compromise.
This directional board runs on a C2 hybrid rocker-camber contour — rocker between the feet for float and surfy feel, camber underfoot for pop, edge hold, and stability. Its extended Makah Hemlock and Paulownia wood core is wrapped in Tri-Ax and Carbon X fiberglass for a lively, powerful flex rated 8 out of 10. The sintered base and serrated steak-knife edge technology lock into hard snow and ice with precision, while the redesigned switch-friendly tail gives real pop on both regular and switch takeoffs. The top sheet is made from Ocean Bound recycled PBT. Ride this board 1–3 cm shorter than your standard length.
The Golden Orca suits advanced to expert riders who session everything the mountain offers — from powder stashes to park-style side hits to icy groomers. If you want a high-performance daily driver that doesn't ask you to choose between float and edge hold, this is the board. Switch riding confidence and strong pop make it especially appealing to freeride-focused freestyle riders.
