What Is the RIDE Vantum?

The RIDE Vantum is a directional all mountain snowboard built for riders who refuse to pick a lane. Whether you're carving hardpack first thing in the morning, hunting pow stashes, or launching side hits on the way down, this board is engineered to handle it all without compromise. It rides best in a traditional forward stance and suits intermediate to advanced riders looking for a versatile daily driver.

How It's Built

The Vantum runs a directional shape with standard camber—responsive underfoot without being twitchy—and a tapered quadratic sidecut that blends three radii for smooth turn entry, solid grip, and effortless edge-to-edge transitions. The standout feature is the Urethane Channel in the nose: milled-out sections of the Performance core (Aspen, Bamboo, and Paulownia) filled with RIDE's proprietary urethane to dampen chop and prevent tip flutter at speed. Roll-In Construction wraps the Slimewall sidewalls in a 3D structure for added strength and reduced weight, while Hybrid Glass (triaxial top, biaxial base) balances torsional flex with stiffness. The Sintered 4000 base runs fast and hard right out of the box, finished with a stone grind and Wend Meadowfoam biodegradable wax. Flex rating is 5/10.

Who It's For

The Vantum suits riders who spend most of their day on groomers and open terrain but want a board that won't quit when conditions get soft or choppy. The nose Urethane Channel is a real game-changer for anyone who's ever felt their tip washing out through crud. If you're an intermediate pushing into advanced territory and tired of boards that force you to specialize, the Vantum is worth a serious look.

FAQ

  • Can I ride the Vantum in switch? Yes, but it's optimized for regular riding—the directional shape and setback stance mean switch laps aren't where it shines.
  • Is the Vantum good for park? RIDE designed it with occasional park use in mind. It can handle side hits and light features, though dedicated park riders will want something twin-shaped.

FeaturesRIDE’s exclusive Slimewalls™ are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls™ smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.
