Description

The Salomon Craft is a directional twin built for riders who want one board that handles everything. Whether you're lapping groomers, hunting side hits, or pushing into deeper snow, it's designed to keep up without demanding a specialist's skill set. It's an honest, capable all-mountain freestyle board that punches well above its price point.

Built around a directional twin shape inherited from the Assassin line, the Craft runs a Rock Out Camber profile that blends the pop and edge grip of camber underfoot with a more forgiving, floaty feel toward the tips. A Quadralizer sidecut keeps turn initiation smooth across varied terrain. The medium flex — approachable but not soft — suits a wide range of conditions, from packed morning runs to variable afternoon snow. The sintered base delivers solid glide and holds wax well, while rubber sidewalls (Royal Rubber Pads with ABS sidewalls) absorb vibration and keep the ride composed on rougher snow. The core combines aspen wood with Popster technology and BIAX HD fiberglass, reinforced with 30% bio-based resin. It comes ready to ride with a standard stone finish, freestyle edge bevels, and a 4x2 insert pattern for binding placement flexibility.

Who it's for

The Craft suits riders who split their time between groomed runs and freestyle zones without wanting to own a quiver. It's a strong pick for intermediates ready to progress and for experienced riders who want a reliable, no-fuss daily driver at an accessible price. The wide option makes it a practical choice for riders with larger boot sizes looking to avoid toe and heel drag.

FAQ

  • Is the Craft good for beginners? Its medium flex and forgiving camber profile make it manageable for motivated beginners, though it's really optimized for intermediates and up.
  • Can it handle powder days? Yes — the directional twin shape and Rock Out Camber profile provide float in softer snow, though it's not a dedicated powder board.
