The North Face Freedom Insulated Pants are built for young riders who spend full days on the mountain. Designed for kids aged 7 to 14, they handle everything from groomed runs to powder days with reliable warmth, weatherproofing, and room to move — season after season.
The shell is constructed with two-layer DryVent™ fabric (151 g/m², 100% recycled polyester with PFC-free DWR treatment), keeping kids dry and windproof without sacrificing breathability. Inside, 80 g Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation — made from 90% post-consumer recycled polyester — delivers lightweight warmth that won't weigh them down. The standard fit is true to size for a comfortable, unrestricted feel, and reinforced ankles in 250 g/m² recycled nylon add durability where it matters most. Internal gaiters seal out snow at the boot, while the Grow System lets parents extend the ankle length by up to 5 cm, stretching the lifespan of the pant across multiple seasons.
These pants suit active kids who ski or snowboard regularly and need gear that keeps up. The Grow System is a genuine advantage for parents looking to get more than one season out of a single purchase. Zipped hand pockets and a dedicated snack pocket mean kids can carry their own essentials without depending on an adult all day.
