The Summit Eastwall is The North Face's answer to riders and skiers who push into serious terrain and stay out longer than most. Built as a true shell, it pairs Gore-Tex 3L waterproof fabric with a technical, articulated cut — the kind of jacket you reach for when conditions get real and comfort still has to hold up across a full day in bounds or beyond.

At its core, the Summit Eastwall relies on a 75D Gore-Tex 3L shell made from 100% recycled polyester with a non-PFC DWR finish, delivering lasting waterproofing without compromising breathability. The articulated fit is cut specifically for skiing and snowboarding movement, while the helmet-compatible hood features a riveted cord-lock system for a dialed-in fit. Underarm vents with YKK AquaGuard zips manage heat on demanding runs, and a stretch-woven powder skirt with silicone gripper tape and jacket-to-pant clip locks out snow at the waist. Storage is handled through alpine zip pockets, a goggle wipe wrist pocket with internal pass pouch, and two large internal drop-in mesh pockets.
