Union Ultra 2027 – Women's Bindings

Description

The Union Ultra 2027 is a women's all-mountain binding built around a ground-up suspension philosophy. Designed for riders who want genuine board feel without sacrificing comfort, it suits everything from groomed runs to variable backcountry terrain—and it's the binding of choice for Jess Kimura and Henna Ikola.

Construction

The Ultra is built on an asymmetrical S11 Duraflex ST mini baseplate paired with an extruded 3D aluminum heelcup, and uses Union's proprietary Molecular Bushing system with a TPE outsole to manage flex and rebound. The all-new NEWS25 Ultra Duraflex ST highback works alongside the Hybrid 1.0 ankle strap with PU core and the TS 5.0 UltraGrip toe strap to create a connected, cushioned feel underfoot. Ratcheting is handled by a lightweight magnesium S1 buckle with a steel base, and the integrated 2-stage FLAD adds forward lean adjustability. At 1.64 kg per pair, the Ultra sits at a medium flex of 6 out of 10. It is compatible with 4x2 and Channel mounting systems via the Ultra Mini Disk.

The Ultra is ideal for women who ride a mix of terrain and want a binding that absorbs the rough stuff without going numb—think high-mileage days on variable snow where fatigue usually sets in first. The 6/10 flex gives enough support for committed edge-to-edge riding while remaining forgiving enough for park laps or casual powder days. If you've ever felt beaten up by a stiff setup or disconnected on a soft one, the Ultra is the middle ground worth trying.
