The Verse Range Edition is Vans' answer to the backcountry-focused all-mountain boot — built for advanced riders who split their time between in-bounds groomers and serious out-of-bounds terrain. It layers weatherproofing and extended range of motion on top of an already-capable platform, making it equally at home on a steep resort line as it is deep in the sidecountry.
The boot runs a stiff flex rating of 6–9 out of 10, making it best suited for experienced riders who want precision response under their feet. Sizes are available in US sizing 9-12. Lacing is handled by a BOA Fit System combined with Vans' Custom Slide Guide for targeted heel lockdown. Inside, the V3 UltraCush liner integrates The North Face FlashDry technology and a neoprene forefoot for warmth and moisture management, while the V3 PopCush footbed adds anatomical arch support underfoot.
Riders who regularly push past the resort boundary and into longer bootpack approaches will immediately notice the Adaptive Range Mode, which opens the rear cuff for a more natural stride on the way up. The Waterproof Zipper Shroud with D-ring keeps snow out during the climb, and once you drop in, the stiff flex and Powercuff Strap deliver the support you need on consequential terrain. This is a performance tool for people who take their objectives seriously.
